AG Outlet info?

I have a good friend who lives near Oshkosh. She is wanting to go to the outlet. Does anyone know the exact name and location of the outlet? A phone number would also be nice since she is very "directionally challenged!"

Us West Coast folks are just waiting for AGPLA. If we had an outlet or an MCM type event out here; our bank accounts would be scandously low and credit card balances would be through the roof.

California is [img]graemlins/island.gif[/img] [img]cool.gif[/img] and [img]graemlins/sun.gif[/img] , but not paradise until we get AGPLA and more!! [img]graemlins/girl.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/girl.gif[/img]

It's kind of hit and miss what you find at the outlet. If the outfits are currently available thru the catalog, they aren't discounted at all-you just save on shipping. If they have been discontinued, or are missing some pieces they are cheaper. They used to have much better deals, but have wised up. They never have the dolls for sale. If your friend lives close, she would do better to come to the outlet's warehouse sale which is always in June (better discounts) or the MCM sale which is in July-they have dolls, and they are 50.00, so a nice savings.

The store is just American Girl and it is in the Prime Outlets Mall, which is on the south end of Oshkosh, just off Hwy 41. I don't remember the name of the exit she would take, but there are several billboards as you are approaching Oshkosh on Hwy 41 and they would tell where to get off. The MCM sale is the Madison Childrens Museum benefit sale, which is held every year in July, in Middleton, Wi. AG donates their returns, damaged and overstock items and volunteers fix them up and sell them at greatly discounted prices at the sale. The money is then divided between the museum and childrens charities. You can do a search on hostboard for MCM sale and find lots of info.

There is only one AG outlet store and it is in Oshkosh, Wi. They mostly sell girls clothing, but they do have some items for the dolls, never any dolls themselves (except now they have a HSH doll, but at full price) Once a year in June they have a big warehouse sale and they usually have really good prices at the sale.

I actually tried to get her to go to the MCM sale with me a couple years ago. I traveled to the sale from VA and she decided not to go...I stayed with her, and when I got back to her house with all of the stuff I bought, her girls went crazy. I do think the $$ is a factor here, so the sales might be a little too tempting to go crazy...those sales are not for the faint hearted! [img]biggrin.gif[/img]

hi can someone tell me what is an MCM sale and where are they? How do you find out where these outlets are?
